Hujambo, Friends!! (That means hello in Swahili :)
I'm so happy to hear that all of you are having a wonderful summer break!! I love hearing all about the swimming lessons, swim meets, vacations and all the books you are reading!! Mr. J and I went to Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island for the 4th of July. We drove up for the day and had lots of fun at the beach. We did some boogie boarding, some shelling and even played football in the sand. It was tons of fun!! I have also been keeping busy getting things all ready for next year. We are going to be going on lots of neat virtual fields, talking with pen pals through blogs and learning about creating our own class website!!
Next week, Mr. J and I are going down to Jupiter, FL to spend time at the beach for a week! Ollie and Ernie are going to come with us and partake in the fun times at the beach too! Has anybody done any fun science experiments this summer or made any neat recipes with Mom? I've been doing some experiments to test for next year and I think we are going to be some very busy scientists this coming school year!! Are you ready to be a mad scientist again this year??!
Well, friends, I'm so proud of all the great reading you've been doing and all the great swimming!! I've been teaching lots of people about different exercises and helping them become stronger too. Keep up the great w0rk and have fun!!!
Love,
Mrs. J

Hi Mrs J,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had so much fun at the beach. Teachers should have fun too.
I have been very upset, swimming lessons are being "thundered" out. I hope it clears up in the mornings soon.Have fun in Jupiter, hope the weather is good for you.

Dear Mrs. J and friends,
ReplyDeleteI have been very busy this summer. First I had VBS and then went to Orlando with my Mom for a conference. My dad took us to Magic Kingdom. I liked the "It's a Small World" ride.
Now we are on a big trip. Texas to see my Dad's family, Colorado to see my Dad's family and some good friends who live in Arizona, and then Tennessee for my grandparents fiftieth wedding anniversary.
After that I have another week of VBS. I'm going to have a great summer!
I miss everyone.
Love,
Natalie
Wow Natalie that sounds like a blast. We used to live in Texas before we moved here. My brother was born there in Nassau Bay, well not in the bay, :)
ReplyDeleteI havent been to Colorado or Arizona.
I hope you will take lots of pictures to share with us.
Love, Conrad
Hi Mrs J ,
ReplyDeleteHope your trip to the beach was fun!
I have been very busy. We had Mama's friend and her sister here Fri night from Alabama Camp with their sons and his friend, two ages 16 and 9. We had dinner and watched the Nicholas Cage movie "Knowing" it was good. Saturday we went to Endeavor FREE Bowling. My brother and I bowled with our many friends, there were 50-70 of us including our volunteer buddies that help us. It was fun, we were really good so Daddy took us for fries and Frostys at Wendys. We were tired!.
Sunday we went to Homosassa Springs to meet Mama's friend who recently moved from Littlewood to Texas. We took a boat ride and saw a Manatee show. I got to pet a possum in the Wildlife show.
We saw lots of birds, like Rosette Spoonbills,Storks, Flamingo,Owls,Eagles, and more, also a bobcat, a black bear, alligators, turtles, a snake and reptile exhibit, foxes, coyotes, and more.
There were fish jumping every second from the pretty spring water and we saw manatees in there too. Then we took the boat back and it started to rain it was fun. Then we went to Crackers on the water for lunch and then to the Mall to see the movie Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was a blast. Now we are home singing songs with Mama and Daddy. Hope your weekend was grand! Can't wait to hear from you!
Love, Conrad
